Field Trips

We do offer field trips, currently only in the month of October during our fall festival, Maze Dayz.

WE ARE OPEN 2023

If you have a large school group (public, private, and charter schools), please contact us at info@cowartranchandfarms.com. We will send you a form and info so we can schedule a day for you to come join in on the fun and learning at a Maze Dayz field trip to the farm.

Homeschool date is  Weds 10/18/23

Gates open at 9:30am and close promptly at 1pm

Admission is $7/ person, 2 and under free

Inclement Weather:

We welcome small groups on this day too! Even a couple or just a few! No, you don’t have to be in a “homeschool group” to come!

Parents and Teachers:

(Lead Parents may want to send this part to all parents.)

For the best experience at our farm, please read the following so that you and your students are prepared.

—There will NOT be any vendors on site during week days. 

—We have water/sodas available for $1 and Hamburg/chz for $6.00, & combo is $9.00,  Regular size Hotdog $3.00 and combo $6.00.   Lg Hotdog $5.00 $8 for combo. (COMBOS include 2 sides & drink) (sides are chips only)

— We also have a country store where we sell pumpkins($1-15) and some local handmade items, etc. , if you’d like to bring a couple extra dollars.

—We do have porta-potties available with a hand-washing station.

—Students will be visiting a farm so please have them dress appropriately. Ex: Play clothes and close toed shoes. The students should be dressed appropriate for whatever the outside temperature is. If we have had recent rain, mud could be a possibility, so, old shoes, boots or rubber boots are best. Sandals are not recommended. Mosquitoes can be bad in the early mornings.

—You may bring your own lunches. There is a covered area with tables and chairs available. There is also plenty of room on the grass and teachers are welcome to bring large blankets/tarps for their kids to sit and picnic on.

Things you may need:

  1. Sunscreen – Bug spray – Map for directions to get here
  2. Water/food – Appropriate attire/close toed shoes -Hat/sunglasses

The children can participate in the following activities at our farm:

  • 10:00am: Hands-on educational opportunities with the farm animals
  • 10:45am: Maze 
  • 11:00am: Interactive tractor pulled hayride
  • 12:00pm: Life Cycle of a Pumpkin learning lesson
  • Fun farm activities such as roping, farm slide, duck races using old fashioned water pumps, mini-maze, huge jump pad, corn hole, horseshoes, tire castle, and corn box.

Hopefully, Everyone will leave with a large smile on their face! :)
